Collaboration with Sonoma State University on NSF Funded project
This project is in collaboration with Drs. Matthew Paolucci Callahan and Lynn Cominsky at Sonoma State University (Dr. Eagan's undergraduate institution). This project focuses on expanding ethics education in an effort to reduce gender bias and sexual harassment within STEM fields. Our lab is assisting with the development and execution of these learning modules. Keep an eye out for updates on this project!
Expanding the Social
Contextual Model of Sexual Violence Perpetration (SCM-SVP)
Dr. Eagan developed the Social Contextual Model of Sexual Violence Perpetration in her dissertation. We are working to expand and improve this model to better account for the mechanisms behind men's choice to perpetrate sexual violence. Given that cisgender, straight men make up over 90% of reported perpetrators; we focus on understanding what affects this population uniquely to affect their choice to perpetrate.
